The Just Energy Transition Project Management Unit, in the Presidency, successfully hosted the inaugural JET Municipal Conference at the Gallagher Convention Center between 26 and 27 August. President Cyril Ramaphosa delivered a keynote address, while Electricity and Energy Minister Kgosientso Ramokgopa participated in a panel discussion alongside Coorporative Governance and Traditional Affairs Minister Velenkosini Hlabisa, Deputy Finance Minister David Masondo and SALGA President Bheke Stofile. The Conference was attended by stakeholders from a myriad of sectors inclusing civial society organisations, labour, representatives from municipalities and business, among others.
