Managed by Trade & Industrial Policy Strategies (TIPS) and implemented in collaboration with local entities, this project aimed to analyse and distil lessons learned from South Africa’s ongoing efforts in the just energy transition. The project synthesized insights from various initiatives, identifying best practices and critical success factors for achieving a fair transition to renewable energy. The findings were disseminated through workshops and publications, fostering broader understanding and engagement among stakeholders. Completed in November 2022, the project contributed valuable knowledge to inform future policies and programs related to the just energy transition in South Africa.
