Baba Gqubule is currently leading the Skills Portfolio of the JET PMU. Prior to joining the PMU, she was a development economist in the Presidential Climate Finance Task Team (PCFTT). She has also held the position of Senior Economist at Trade & Industrial Policy Strategies (TIPS) where she was involved in sector specific policy research which explored how the structure of the South African manufacturing industry influenced gender equality and developmental outcomes.
