Joanne Yawitch is the Head of the JET PMU. Prior to this, she served a 12 year term as the Chief Executive Officer of the National Business Initiative, a business association focused on ESG and climate change. She has served as a Ministerial Adviser, Chief Director in Gauteng province and as Deputy Director General for Climate Change and Environmental Protection in the Department of Environmental Affairs. Ms Yawitch is also a Commissioner on both the Presidential Climate Commission and the National Planning Commission and serves on the Board of the SA Forestry Company.
